Listen to PTWA member Steve Anderson's Profiles in Leadership interview with Dave Chase.

The current status-quo U.S. healthcare system offers perverse incentives that reinforce a dysfunctional system, costs lives, promotes suffering, and is literally stealing the American dream of middle class prosperity from an entire generation. If we don’t fix it, millennials will invest half to two-thirds of their expected income on healthcare.

It’s time we work together to take it back.

Recognizing we didn’t get better lighting in homes and cities by optimizing oil lamp technology, our keynote speaker Dave Chase will offer pragmatic, best practice solutions, and powerfully illustrate why self-funded employers, forward- leaning benefits advisors, and PTs and PTAs hold the keys to disrupting healthcare faster than any stakeholder in healthcare.

Attendees will leave with strengthened resolve, a pathway, and partners to bring fundamental change in our convoluted healthcare system, and identify why employers, benefits advisors, providers, civic leaders and mission-aligned partners--NOT the government--are in the best position to enable widespread adoption of next generation healthcare models that over-achieve on Quadruple Aim objectives (better outcomes, lower cost, improved patient experience, improved clinician experience) and restore hope, health and wellbeing in our communities.
OBJECTIVES
During this session, participants will:
  • Review how the current status-quo U.S. health care system has become the greatest immediate threat to our citizens and companies, choking funding for education, public infrastructure and social services and creating wage stagnation for our citizens.
  • Reveal how the unprecedented transformation taking place in healthcare will transfer $1T in value from the current $3T industry to new models and industry players.
  • Learn about the Health Rosetta, an open-source blueprint that can be employed as “the vision, roadmap and navigation system” to achieve the goals of the Quadruple Aim.• Discover how PTs and PTAs can work to refine their services and business model to expertly support the Health Rosetta benefit model and the growing corps of Health Rosetta Certified Advisors.
  • Identify roles that employers, health plans, PTs/PTAs and other suppliers of healthcare play in this transformation.
