Meet the Board:

President: J. Kele Murdin PT, GCS, GTC, CEEAA, FSOAE received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in 2000. Initially, she worked in the Outpatient setting and completed Level II exam for NAOMPT. Kele transitioned to the Skilled Nursing setting in 2003, and served as the Director of Rehab at Life Care Centers of Kirkland. And recently moved into the role of Clinical Knowledge Broker with Infinity Rehab. Her passion for Geriatrics and excellent patient care fueled her to pursue a Geriatric Certified Specialization (GCS) in 2009 from the APTA, then a Certification as an Exercise Expert for Aging Adults (CEEAA) in 2013 from the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy, a Geriatric Training Certification (GTC) from Great Seminars in 2016, and a Functional Standards for Optimal Aging Expert (FSOAE) certification in 2017. She also has been an adjunct professor at the University of Puget Sound DPT program in Physical Agents, Basic Skills, and Adult Systemic Diseases. Kele is the Co-State Advocate for the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy in the State of Washington, and the founder of the Physical Therapy Geriatric SIG of the Washington Chapter. Her passion for her profession is mirrored by a passion for cycling, laughter, and her family.

Vice President: Sarah Townsend-Grant PT, DPT empowers people to be champions for health.  She is board certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and serves as an advocate and coach for physical, occupational and speech therapists, both through her work as a clinical knowledge broker for Infinity Rehab and as Vice President of the Physical Therapy Association of Washington’s Geriatric Special Interest Group. She has experience in multiple practice areas, including outpatient, assisted living, independent living and skilled nursing facilities.  And, has served as a director and manager in Washington, Oregon, Indiana, and Connecticut.  She has presented at both national and state conferences and her areas of passion and expertise are interprofessional pain management, medically complex patients, evidence-based practice, and facilitating patient engagement.

Treasurer: Jeffery J Scott Jr PT, DPT earned his doctorate of physical therapy degree from Elon University in 2014 and received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Bioengineering from Clemson University in 2011. Jeff has practiced in the home health setting in the Seattle area since graduating with Kline Galland Home Health. He is a member of the King County Fall Prevention Coalition and the Washington State Fall Prevention Coalition. Jeff previously traveled the US and Canada with the Nitro Circus Live Tour assessing and treating action sports athletes. His area of emphasis now centers on geriatrics and fall prevention in the Seattle and Washington state areas. Jeff also enjoys spending time with his wife, cycling, hiking, and kayaking.
