Our Mission: Lead advocacy efforts for current and future legislative issues impacting physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in Washington State.OUR GOALS
- Raise awareness and promote advocacy within the State to support physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in our state in legislative activities at the State and Federal Levels that improve patient access and quality healthcare.
- Identity Federal and State issues that inhibit patient access and service rendered by a physical therapist and physical therapist assistant.
- Develop, plan, and execute advocacy efforts for key legislative issues brought by membership.

- Promote the growth and retention of APTA membership in Washington State through unified advocacy efforts.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and/or provide education on strategies for effective advocacy.
- Promote resources for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants to help advocate for legislative issues impacting our profession and healthcare.
- Provide support to APTA Washington for collaboration with other key external stakeholders in the state.

- Patient Action Center: Non-members and the public can use the Patient Action Center to send pre-written messages to their legislators.
